Ben is a Solicitor in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team.   Ben graduated with a First Class Honours degree in law from the University of Sussex and completed his Legal Practice Course at the Inns of Court School of Law in London.

 

Ben joined Greene & Greene in 2014 from an international law firm, he is a recommended lawyer in the 2015 Legal 500.

 

Ben advises on a wide range of property and commercial litigation. Recent instructions have included defending a director in relation to a preference claim under the Insolvency Act 1986, a breach of confidentiality and post-termination restrictive covenants claim and a commercial fraud case in which Ben successfully recovered approximately 130,000 of misappropriated funds.

 

Ben specialises in disputes involving Trusts, Wills and Probate. He works closely with Kate Chandler. Recent instructions include:

 

the removal of an Executor/Trustee for numerous breaches of trust in an Estate in excess of 5m;

assisting in the removal of Pension Trustees on behalf of a beneficiary in an Estate worth 2m;

a multi-jurisdiction claim on behalf of a beneficiary based in Canada and a Personal Representative based in Washington, the deceased having died intestate in England;

defending a challenge to a Will on the grounds of lack of testamentary capacity; and

claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 for adult children and a cohabitee.

 

Ben is in the final year of studying the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialities course at the University of Law.
