Martine joined Greene & Greene in 2000. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a full member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT) and also the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP).


Martine’s expertise ranges from planning for the future through to assisting clients after bereavement.


Recent cases completed by Martine include:


An intestacy which involved tracing and liaising with 31 beneficiaries and dealing with a claim against the estate under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975;

An application to the Court of Protection to put in place a statutory Will for a client that had lost capacity. The client owned significant assets, including farming assets, that would have passed to distant family had a Will not been put in place;

Reporting and administering an estate which had cross-border assets including assets in France and Denmark;

Applications to reseal foreign Grants of Representation, reporting of UK assets for Inheritance Tax purposes and administering the UK estate; and

An application to the Court of Protection to have a Deputy removed where a client had regained capacity and subsequently putting in place a Lasting Power of Attorney allowing the client to decide who would act on her behalf in the future, if needed.
