Greene & Greene help hospice to raise over £30,000Earlier this year Greene & Greene took part in the hospice fundraising scheme, Wills Week, drawing up Wills in exchange for a suitable donation to St Nicholas Hospice Care instead of taking our usual fee. An uncontrolled dog with a history of aggression has cost its owners and their insurers approximately £20,000 in respect of compensation and costs after it attacked a man who was cycling past a farm. Michael Batty acted for the victim. |

Following the intervention of Michael Batty a corporate Client facing prosecution for an alleged failure to provide the details of an employee suspected of committing a speeding offence has had the case against it dropped after a first hearing. Michael was able to identify and pursue a statutory defence which, once raised, led the CPS to conclude that the prosecution ought to be withdrawn. |
