Greene & Greene is delighted to announce the arrival of two new Solicitors to our Construction and Development team. Hugo Greer-Walker and Anna Britland join the firm as the Construction team, noted in the Legal 500 as a ‘focused team that is hardworking and dedicated to client care’, grows from strength to strength.
Hugo Greer-Walker joined the firm in January, having previously worked at Clifford Chance, Halliwells and Stone King. He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in Construction and Commercial property, having worked on a variety of high profile deals, and is known for his commercial and pragmatic approach. Hugo has experience of most aspects of commercial property, including:
- Acquisitions
- Disposals
- investment and development work
- landlord and tenant,
- finance
- occupier work.
Hugo understands the needs of clients and will always work proactively to find solutions that are in the client’s interests. His transaction management skills are second to none in terms of organisation, energy, communication and determination to get the job done.
Anna Britland joined us in March, having previously worked at Mills & Reeve and Eversheds Sutherland. She has a broad range of experience on construction matters, specialising on the non-contentious construction side. She also has experience of public procurement and state aid matters. Anna negotiates and drafts contracts and associated construction documents for a wide variety of clients, including:
- Funders
- Employers
- developers
- main contractors
- consultants
- sub-contractors.
She has worked for clients in the public and private sectors, including government agencies, universities, private developers and sole traders. She also enjoys delivering training sessions to clients on various aspects of construction law. Anna has a pragmatic approach and seeks to find the most cost-effective solution for her clients.
Both are delighted to join the firm. Anna comments: “It has been a real honour to join such a well-regarded practice at this exciting time for the construction team.”
Anna and Hugo join Sarah Western, Rob Adam and Neil Grigg, who between them offer a wealth of experience in construction and development matters. Sarah and Rob focus on the disputes side and get involved in adjudications, arbitration, mediation, court proceedings, as well as advising the client on how best to settle or manage a potential dispute at the outset. Anna, Hugo and Neil focus on the non-contentious side, advising mainly on development and other bespoke construction and engineering matters.
